Codel Software hosted the IBM Collaboration the Summit at the Millennium Centre, Cardiff on November 13. This was the first time the computer giant has hosted such an event in Wales.
The IBM Lotus Collaboration Summit focused on how companies can use 'collaborative software' to grow their business.
Adrian Lewis, Codel Software's Commercial Director, said "Time is money and everyone is looking for way of working more efficiently. This is exactly what collaborative software does. It allows businesses to share vital information and work faster online with its suppliers and customers. It also promotes vital interdepartmental collaboration within larger companies and across numerous sites."
IBM's Channel Executive, Jeremy Wray, talked to delegates about IBM's latest products including Lotus Notes, Quickr and Sametime, an instant messaging service tailored specifically for business.
Lewis added, "We know how this type of software can free up valuable time in larger companies. IBM can now demonstrate how SME's in South Wales can realise true advantage from these technologies. This can make a real difference to your profits whether you are a sole trader or run a number of offices."
