As part of its deployment of the Lotus Notes suite of tools (a component of an ambitious programme of work called the Modern IT Working Environment) the University will use Activ Absence Control. As this very flexible solution is built on Lotus Notes it can accommodate various staff working patterns, multiple types of leave requests and includes a work flow process for booking leave. This is essential for achieving a successful roll-out across the institution and integrates very closely with the email and calendar functions.
Simon Vaughan, Programme Director in Information Services, comments “Activ Absence Control has been implemented to meet a diverse range of requirements across the University. We are very pleased with the flexibility of the product and the support we have received from Codel software.”
